Our mission is to provide the citizens of Bartow County general information regarding Police, Fire and EMS activity without compromising sensitive and/or private information. It is our policy to keep such information off of our Facebook Page. We also like to promote a positive support for the men and women who put their own lives in danger to secure the safety and protection of our families, friends and neighbors lives and property.

Present:

We are constantly working to improve our system and provide other services. Recently we added another scanner and server to provide a 24/7 feed for the weather radio based off the Chatsworth tower (covers Bartow County) and are rolling out the Bartow County Weather page for more detailed weather related information. Also we had launched the Bartow County Neighborhood Watch page and are gathering information to help promote neighborhoods to get more involved. Stay tuned for more information regarding these ventures and a few more to come soon.

Future:

We are always exploring other avenues of getting the community more involved. With the help of technology and things like social media, a lot of good can be done for the community that previously required a great deal of expense and time. Communication is our best tool for fighting crime, being active in our communities and keeping our families safe from natural disasters.

Who we are:

Currently the Bartow County Scanner staff consists of one person. I work full time and do this when I have free time. Everything is done on a volunteer basis, no compensation is received. It is rewarding to know that my efforts have possibly made an impact on our community in a positive way. In the future, I may add some more volunteers with expertise in different fields

What you can hear on the scanner.

The scanner broadcasts radio traffic from Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement agencies from Bartow County and each city within the county. We understand the importance of sensitive communication between Law Enforcement officers and therefore gladly agree and abide by the Term of Service with Radio Reference which states  "I agree to NOT broadcast dedicated tactical, car-to-car, SWAT, narcotics, detectives or any other channels or talk groups that are not routine dispatch or special events related.".

Funding:

The scanner you hear online is not affiliated with any agency or business, while the host is with radio reference, the feed is provided by a local private citizen. I gladly provide the feed for Bartow County and incur all cost involved. I do however accept any donations for future upgrades. Nobody is obligated to donate, but if you are able to donate, I greatly appreciate it.
